Thai Massage Sitting Back StretchThai Yoga Massage or Nuad-bo-rarn uses many parts of the body such as the thumbs, elbows, palms, forearms, feet, and knees. Thai Yoga Massage involves rocking, rhythmic muscle compression with assisted yoga positions and stretching.

Based on Chinese acupressure points and the principles of Ayurveda this ancient form of healing was developed in India about 2500 years ago and made Thailand its home as Buddhism moved to south-east Asia.

In some sense Thai Yoga Massage is a form of Ayurvedic massage but without the use of herbal oils and more akin to Yoga. In fact in Thailand this form of massage is called the “Lazy Man’s Yoga”.
