Circus Yoga is for the family, friends, kids and all age grounds that combines the essence of yoga with a whole lot of fun.

CircusYoga is an invitation to celebrate the joy of being alive. According to Yoli the instructor of Circus Yoga, “people have forgotten to have good wholesome fun. Everything is centered around intoxicants food, people have forgotten the joy of being playful, silly and spontaneous. Circus Yoga involves the entire community, and anyone can be part of it regardless of age or fitness level. As long as they can move,” laughs Yoli.

Yoli Maya Yeh will be conducting her first Circus Yoga Workshop in an Introduction to Flying Partner Yoga for Adults (ages 13 and up) at the School of Thai Yoga Massage, Bangalore.www.tyms.in

You will learn the learn the fundamentals of Flying Partner Yoga this Sunday 4th October and then the following Sunday on 11th October 2009.  No prior experience needed or special gymnastic/acrobatic skills.  Everyone can do it.

Flying Partner Yoga combines partner poses, yoga off the ground and Thai massage techniques to create a therapeutic playful practice that build strength, flexibility, and concentration.  Great for performance work, core-strength building and de-stressing.  Come be a part of the fun!

Throughout our lives, we tend to be grouped with others close to our own age, and, as a result, often end up learning mostly from our peers. In CircusYoga, however, we pool our resources and become a tribe of life-long learners and teachers discovering balance, joy, courage, agelessness and appropriate risk.

This diversity makes CircusYoga a rich experience—everyone benefits as the wisdom of age collaborates with the energy of youth. And transformation happens as all ages practice together and build self-confidence, focus, trust and teamwork.

We invite parents, aunts, uncles and grandparents to participate with their kids, and welcome anyone aged 7 and up. This includes adults without kids. Teachers, yoga instructors, circus educators, family social workers and occupational therapists all gain new techniques applicable to their own work and play.

Flying Partner Yoga
How can we become more present to the space between us in any relationship? When inviting another person onto your yoga mat the communication process becomes the focus of awareness. Flying Partner Yoga is a joyful practice of sacred geometries, blending partner yoga, partner acrobatics and partner Thai massage. The practice allows two or more people to share weight, balance, and support in yoga flows. An empowering part of the practice involves one partner “flying” the other in safely supported asanas and inversions.

Take the risk and embrace the beauty of flight into a new consciousness. No previous yoga experience is necessary, but an adventurous spirit is a plus! Come with a partner, friend, or on your own.

Discover the power of play and spontaneity in your yoga practice
Create beautiful tandem yoga flows and group mandalas
Strengthen self-confidence, focus, trust, communication, and connection
Explore sacred geometries
Nurture yourself and others through Thai massage
Embrace the beauty of flight and the gift of kinesthetic communication!
